I'm always here while not on the rig... My posts have gone way down since starting this damn job.

Oh, I actually got another FTO to wave at me the other day! That's rare enough up here.

Was replacing stepper motor while at the rig the other day - taking it out and cleaning it was only lasting for a week or so before she started gunning the revs by herself. People at lights kept thinking I wanted to race... :)

Anyway, quietly a few of the guys wonder over, ask what's wrong and ask if I need a hand. Now I've had a bit of light hearted stick about driving what they think is a bit of a girlie car, and not a Holden. So when I tell one guy that she's a 2L V6, he says "No way! In a tiny thing like that?". So few more people wonder over, and start looking her over. Even take one guy for a drive.

Don't know what it is bout Kiwi's, maybe it's coz FTO's aren't exactly rare on the roads, but very few people rate them highly. Others think they're sluggish - which I did in my first 5mins of driving, right up until I realised how high the revs went. :)

Don't get much stick from the guys anymore - I even heard one of them saying that he were tempted himself. How many can we convert guys?

Yeah those idiots re the people who dont get the car, they r only interested in how fast it is over a 1/4 mile.... but its a FRESH TOURING ORIGINATION

thats right... touring car not built for high speed.... mind you neither are the commonwhores etc really... most reasonably minded people who have enquired about my car seem genuinely impressed... and ive taken loads of people for a ride in it.... and anything thats only 2L non turbo and can do 200kph stock is always good in my books... PLUS its so dam gorgeous! i like curves

...and the warm glow you get inside when you come back to the carpark to find people looking at her.

Now, why wouldn't you feel the same way about your girlfriend/wife? Is it coz u love your car more or less? hmmm....
