FTO garages

Post by layzie »

Anyone know any decent garages in Auckland? need to get my cambelt replaced.
Any idea has long it takes to replace?

My Km's at 139,000 though the cambelt has lines & looks worn.
Had the car for bout 4yrs at 101,000's.

thanks

Don't know Auckland at all, but i've always had good service from the local Mitsi garage. (Apart from leaving my windows open in the pouring rain last time ).

Never taken her anywhere else, so i'm ignorant of how much more they charge than anyone else!

What did you get done at the Mitsu garage? was it expens? in Auck, most garage is usually about $60/Hr, so hoping to find a cheaper one somewhere around.

Yup, bout $60 an hour there too i'm afraid. I'm used to UK prices, so still seems cheap to me...

Her yearly service, checking everything important worked out about $190, including all the parts, oil, sundries etc.

Still havn't had to get around to doing Cambelt yet, but seem to remember that the Mitsi garages do it as part of what they call the 100,000km Service Package? Might be worth a look.

Let us know how u go!
