im all open for ideas at the moment its a standard engine with a cold air intake, and a 2 1/4" cat back. Has anyone had a good increase with headers on these cars? Thanks in advance

Welcome!

Yeah headers are a good option.

What are ya plans with it? Did u get it for under $800? Easily make your money back on here by parting it out, every oil seal needs replacing in the engine, and every suspension component is rooted.

Nice, yeh what a shame it looked quite nice before hand lol. Got it for $800, im gonna use the engine for another conversion. Yeh i was going to get a timing belt kit and change all the cam seals, crank seals, tensioners etc.... Can you tell me a bit about it, the guy was extremely vague i dont even know where it came from?

Mad,yeah that's a good idea, get it all done whilst the engines out.
Umm well a mate bought it from a member on here about 5years ago and he never really maintained it since.
Then a different mate bought it from him a couple of months ago, then dropped it off to me wanting the stickers removed, stock bonnet put on. Had also ordered new shocks and springs and a full gasket/ seal kit... Buuuutt he got the accelerator pedal stuck under the corner of the big *~delightful!~* blue floor mat( please tell me they aren't still in there?) Insurance company wrote it off, and some one bought it from the wreckers, took it to Sydney, obviously he decided he didn't want it and now it's in your hands :D
You'd nearly make your money back selling just the gear box and the other components needed for a manual conversion .
Then there's dual exhaust which sounds crazy at mivec, seats & other goodies etc

LMFAO about the blue floor mats please tell me that isnt true, just cause im in sydney doesnt mean the car is. It is in newcastle, have to tow it to sydney tomorrow :? To be honest i actually have 2 options. I have a fto rad support and all front panels and headlights in really good condition. So i can either take the motor out and sell a entire rolling shell, or cut the fto in half (have done this to a couple of fto's  ) and part it out. Not sure what i will do yet.

It's all bolt on stuff
every single component from the FTO bolts up lol
every single piece of suspension except the rear swaybar just needs 2 holes each side to bolt up

lol ive done the conversion, i know whats involved. My coupe has all fto gear including suspension, it is a fto in the form of a lancer lol. U might not know being from queensland but in NSW if you dont exceed the 15% original capacity of the engine eg 1.8 to 2.0 is fine, you can just get a blueslip. The mirage on the other hand needs to be complied which = $$$$ the mirage chassis cannot exceed 1.725L according to my mathematics  with just a blueslip
