Newbie here looking at getting my first FTO GPX need help

Post by AshleyWayne »

Hi im looking at getting my first ever FTO this car here is $1900 its a 1997 Gpx 5spd auto i am waiting till Wednesday to have a look at it but would really appreciate some advice/info on this model car as i know nothing at all it has a problem with the mivec it wont kick in so will only rev to about 6200rpm the people who have it now said that only one fault code came up when taping into the fault codes and it was the alternator FR terminal is this an easy fix? Its pretty cheap so expecting problems but would like to know what to look for when buying one ect.
Im from WA and also finding it hard to find parts online again any help would be awesome thanks..

Any specific reason you want to buy dirt cheap with known issues specially when you are new to FTOs? If you knew about the car and was mechanically minded...sure give it a poke...but I'd spend bit more for peace of mind. My .02c

Or just right click the image, do copy Image URL and in your post type , it will auto scale to an appropriate size, either works :D
