WTTC! Nice ride. Did you buy it off a club member? It looks familiar but I can't pick it.

Our vice President dstocks is the parts guy around here. Though there is usually one or two people wrecking one, or check Gumtree, eBay, Amayama etc.

Thanks! I'm not sure, the guy I bought it off only had it a year. Right now all I need is new tyres and a gearbox service. But I'm looking into suspension and brakes. And I don't know anything about them really, I know a guy that can install them for me but what should I look for and where can I find cheap haha

Welcome to the club.

94 GR; auto; about 200k ; dint in the passenger side rear quarter panel; roof resprayed; if rear bar hasn't been replaced in the last couple of years then there's an extra section cut out for twin exhaust, damaged paint on rear bar (driverside); probably stock exhaust on it now; front bar gap isn't even; white painted headlights and fog lights; uv angel eyes built into the head lights but don't work; fog light switch burnt out; Nissan rims?; fto australia logo on rear quarter glass; dynamat through out most of the cabin except driver's door, rear stock wing either faded or recently repainted; driver side mirror doesn't fold in; and probably stock suspension with a slightly bent rear passenger side control arm.

how close did I get?

check the rear engine mount; and the air con probably doesn't work on hot days.

lol, yeah that was my old car. But by the sounds of it, it must have changed hands 2 or 3 times between when I sold it to now.

I also still have some parts to fix the cosmetic issues with it.

Where about in Brisbane are you; I'm curious about what's changed to it since, and can probably give you some history and info on it.

yeah Sahin kept the exhaust and suspension off it before he sold it. pretty sure the gear box oil needs replacing when I sold it, sounds like it hasn't had it done yet :\ (off memory, think it had about 173k when i sold it)

just out of curiosity, how's the roof holding up? I never finished the repairs there, and I don't think it was finished off before the respray. is there any cracks etc?

Roof is still looking pretty good, going to try buffing all the faded bits. It has just under 193 000 now last oil and filter change was at around 186 000. Still drives well too. Do you have any photos of it at all ?

Thank you ! Gotta say pretty stoked at how easy it's been to find people that know a bit about the fto. Kinda though I'd pretty much be on my own !

Photo in the linked thread from 2007. But I'm not just going to dig up embarrassing photos of myself without dragging the rest of them down with me (...the photos will explain it all lol)

http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11440

and a couple photos I managed to dig up that won't you get arrested if you flash it around in a kindergarten.

I remember there being more on the forum; but they are lost/deleted i think.

if you are going to use cut and polish, be gentle. I've attacked it with cut and polish a couple time already; and from what I've heard; don't think the roof was clear coated when they resprayed it.

It would be awesome, let me know when's good for you. (I'm only in Annerley, so I can come out to you or whatever suits you)

think I'm still a little attached to it  (it was my first car... )
all the nostalgia \o/
