FACELIFT?

Post by FTO4EVA »

Hi, everyone. I'm new with FTOs in general. I've a got question regarding if all types of ftos are facelift or pre-facelift models? I'm not sure what it means

This ^^

Prefacelift has a single oval lindicator/parker/foglight combo as displayed in the banner of this site on the red FTO.

Facelift has parkers in the headlights and has separate circular lights for indicators and foglights as shown on the sig on my post.

Note that there are people who change their models from pre facelift to the facelifted version and from GPX to look like a GPvR etc etc... so always check the VIN of the car using the VIN decoder whenever you can. That is the most accurate way to tell when you car rolled out of the factory.

Cool! thanks everyone, got it now! GPvR seems to be rare, can't find any for sale. But I'm satisfied with just a GPX I guess.. ;)

Cools! VIN works, has DE3A. it's a 97 model, so it should be Facelift model, from the looks of it.

Depends on whether im paying for rego or just the blue slip. Its excellent condition inside now and its not been in an accident that I can see. Engine made the trip from QLD (10 hr trip) without a hiccup. As mentioned in the link below, there was a problem with the gearbox that was in it (wouldnt reverse). I have replaced the gearbox now, so all good. Im thinking somewhere around 4.5K.

      Pics Here:

please Note: Wont include the SSR rims that are on the car in the pics. Has stockies on it now with good rubber.

Probably a few weeks to a month away from being available

Hey bro, would it be okay if you could notify me when the car is available, I'm so keen to own an FTO. I'd probably spend a lot on it, to get it perfectly the way I want it..
If you do sell it to me,
You could do the pinkslip and rego at my cost. lol

No problems, can do that. Pm me a contact number and ill call you. Ill do the blue slip at my cost. That then proves that the car is roadworthy and I want to make sure everything is in order. And if we put the rego straight into your name rather thanregistering itinmine first, it saves the transfer fee. Ive sold a lot of FTO's to club members over the years. I have 4 at the moment and have owned over 25 of them.

The proper way to address him is Dwayne the Stock Johnson. Or supreme overlord. Whatever suits your fancy.
