Just Got an FTO

Post by bradicus »

Just bought an FTO, keen to goto a meetup in Adelaide. Bought a red 1995 FTO, has the non mivec engine. Has a lot of ks almost 300k, but runs well.

I first saw this car when I was in highschool like 10 years ago and loved the look of it.... FINALY GOT ONE.

The car is very low since it has a bodykit, since im not used to driving a low car i literally broke the bumper the first time a parked, cracked it in two.... Need to learn to fibreglass it back up :P

Atm im trying to change the oil, but the sump plug wont come off and is very stripped, just wont come off. Going to try again with a breaker bar.

Im very impressed with the car so far though.

Welcome to the club. There are a few active members in Adelaide,so you should be able to line something up. Is that a bozz front bar or is it HKS. Bit hard to tell from your avatar.

Adelaide people! Yeah, I think I saw you post in the other thread. You'll find we're a disorganized bunch haha

Most people will just tell you to change the bar round here

You've got an emanage blue in there. Any other engine upgrades to go with it?

You can't get matching sections of that bar, they are different in every mould. The bumper looks dated anyway, you should consider a new bumper from dstocks, he had a special on the other day not sure if it's still available.

Yep, TS front bar, D Cuatro sideskirts and Vortex rear bar are up in QLD atm, but will likely be sent back to me as no interest at this stage.
