e46 M3 or e92 335i

Post by FTO338 »

If you guys have the money, would you get a late 2005-2006 e46 M3 or a brand new e92 335i

Both are coupe, with similar price and power.

e46 M3 0-100 5.4 (SMGII), 335i 0-100 5.7 (Auto 6spd)

With both, you can pull some insane numbers out of them, i've seen a supercharged e46 M3 that pull 0-100 4.5sec with just 10k spend on it. And we all know how easy to extract power out of a twin turbo straight 6 setup, as thats what 335i is running on.

335

was talking to an old client who just sold his 6 month old M5 to get the 335i - he loves it, said he prefers it to any of his previous M5's.

I think the 335i looks good too. Don't understand the current critisicm of BMW (apart from the boot of the m6!)

hahah 1x e60 M5 equals to 2.5x e92 335i.

i just came back from BMW dealership, IMO, there are 3 ugly ducklings, the X3, 6 series and 7 series. The rest are not bad, i love the M5 looks.

I saw a bmw sedan the other day that i really liked, nice sleek, sharp lines ... other than that one, i think the only bmw that I would ever buy if i had the money would be the Z4..

I had driven both, they are similar power. Of course e46 M3 make more "noise" to get there, which is music to most. I wait till the new e92 M3 comes out and the Lexus IS-F and then i pick a toy from there.

No.. But i am Lucky Enough to have an Uncle who has a Blue$105,000 E46 M3 When he bought it a year ago or more.

Where i have been in it a lot of times. & I aint allowed to drive it.

So i am just placing my comment on what i feel and what i have red up on the E46 M3. :)

$105k, I take thats 2nd hand then, its cheaper then my RX400h OTR.

You probably won't able to drive it till a very very very very long while as most insurance company won't cover any driver who is under the age of 30. But you should just take the key off your uncle and just let it rip LOL

Trust me the e92 335i is just as fast and on the path when it comes to handling too. The advantage of the 335i is cheaper service cost and insurance.

Anyway, the IS-F is coming out 3rd quarter, let see how that one goes

M3 is like.. a dream car.

I wouldn';t even dream of owning one cos it'd drive me crazy with happiness just thinking about it!! Well they're worth what.. 120,000 now?

I think for what it is it should be worth a lot more but nevermind the price.. the car just sh*ts all over everything else.
