Must admit I've always loved the design.

Too bad it's a rotary.

Just that they're a bitch to maintain, and, not to run you down (especially considering I drive a mazda 323 with a whopping 75kw of power), but they aren't the most powerful engine out there.

How are they a bitch to maintain (just wondering)? Topping the oil every 2000k's isn't really too hard IMHO. But yeah, and yes not much more powerful then the FTO. I wasn't after a quick car otherwise I would have bought one .

Always wanted one of these :)

Best thing about rotaries is their smooth power output, but gotta rev em like ftos too.

Heaps of people chuck in a 3 rotor in these from a vintage 22b mazda, and they go with bigger turbos and all that fitted, but quite expensive... There is a 13kw(?) mod i heard u can do to a standard rx8 that brings the auto up to the same power as a manual but dont ask me what that is...

GL with not getting sh*t from cops in that mate -
one thing i have found out is that it doesnt matter what you drive - if youre a p plater your a target!
Got pulled over SOO many times in my old sh*tty 91 laser on my red p's - havent been pulled over yet in my FTO
If your representing p's - theyre gonna get you somehow - they always do

On another note, sex on wheels.
Some of these just look amazing with certain body kits.
And as for the no power thing? Load of crap! Most of the leaders of the RWD Time attack championships are RX7's although it would most likely cost a pretty penny to get them to that, but my point is the power IS there...just got to awaken it

Lolx here comes another friendly reminder for stef. Guess it won't stop coming untill he's off his P.
Wonder what's the fuss when he already got a cert. to legalize that. While some being anal on it not being able to drive 24/7, well he's not driving it at 3am in the morning and it's not anyone else's business coz he got the rx8 and not you.

@Taz, the difference is rx7 comes with twin turbo at stocko while rx8 is NA.
you can simply up the boost in the rx7 and you get over 300hp.
you can do that in the rx8 with a lot dosh on turbo-ing the NA engine.

@taz. I've owned sports cars throughout the whole time I've had my P plates.

I think in total I've only ever been pulled over 2 times? In almost 3 years... Both of those times I was being a dickhead... speeding or whatnot.

Its not the P plates that bring the attention to the cops, its how the P platers drive. -.-.

One thing I have found since driving the Fto is that the cops do not seem to be as forgiving as when im driving my outback.
In the outback ive been pulled over a fair bit for things like being 10k's over the limit and a missing p plate ect, and always got a slap on the wrist but both times ive been pulled over in the fto for 8K's over the limit and a missing P plate I got points & a fine.
Its like they automatically think your going to be a hoon and punish you accordingly.
And thiers the window tint being to dark I have the same tint in both the outback and the fto never had anything mentioned to me about the tint on the outback but on the fto thiers another fine

Lol douche bag i've got a certificate saying i'm aloud to drive it from the transport office?
Must be the same as my one that says Im allowed to use NOS on the way to work 8)
  this is making my day a lot better :D .

So I drove the car for over a year on my P plates, pulled over about 7 times. I had the certificate of exemption in the car the whole time. And you know what? I was never asked to show it.

Maybe cause it's debadged... who knows.

Anyway. :thebird: to you haha!

Missing about 1000 updates changed wheels a few times but back to stock now.

Today I installed BC BR(gold) coilovers but need to re-adjust them.

Cheers lads.

Heres pics of BC Coilovers I installed yesterday.

Today I adjusted the heights to all be the same, and the preload to be right, waxed my car and detailed the interior!

Car is now 50mm higher than what it used to be (at the front bar) :( Was 70mm off the ground now 120! But I can now get out of the driveway.

Here is a fuckload of pics just for bennoz cause he asked for them. 8)
