It's not optimism, it's what I was quoted, albeit many years ago
Plus Crower cams from the US would do them for $1,200, or $1,000 each for 2 sets but shipping/customs may be an issue.

Im surprised with the amount of progress and awesomeness this thread only just achieved 2 pages!

Definitely gonna need several vids of various assorted track days when its up and running :twisted:

How the hell did i mistype 2? :scratch: even so 5 pages is still short for the progress done, as punishment we demand lots of videos and a joyride once its done as punishment :evil:

Flywheel would either be the fidanza one rpw offer or just mill your current one

I have a light flywheel and exedy hd clutch arriving in the next day or two from a local supplier
$440 and $460 respectively.
Flywheel is CrMo and weighs the same 5.2kg that rpw claim for their alloy.
This suppliers 3.2kg alloy one is discontinued unfortunately.

So, after being supplied with an 8 bolt flywheel, the correct one should arrive Monday..
In the meantime, WTAC was on this w/end, and it wasn't too bad. Best part was picking up this;

If you haven't already got a clutch get an NPC clutch, company up in Brissie, make custom clutches, matt just got a custom hd exedy HD organic or something, was the price of an OEM clutch as well
