Nissan Micra K11

Post by ninpofto »

Yes I have hit rock bottom and gone and purchased myself a 95 Nissan Micra two door.
1.3lt twincam, 5-speed,nasty green paint with peeling clear, and she leaks like a sub with flyscreens  .
Has anyone else here ever had the Pleasure  of owning/driving/servicing one?
Once the wedding is out of the way, might have to perform a Mivec 6A12 transplant 8) .
Take care guys/girls and will post some pics once I clean her up a little.

Personally I hate Micras and think that if I were to have a chosen car that I would seek out and destroy, it would be them. Just saying :/

K-11 was a Soviet November-class (Project 627A) nuclear-powered attack submarine that had two reactor accidents during loading of the nuclear reactor core in Severodvinsk on 7 and 12 February 1965.

This is my work wheels guys, where is the love.
safer then an excel, better looking than same era corolla and cheap to buy and run.
The after purchase trip home was approx 230 km @ $10 bargain :) .
Will go get some pics!

Have fixed the leaks front and rear, the gear shifter return spring, bought replacement front passenger side guard,
replacement rear parcel tray and brake light, removed old blistered tint, started sanding the dodgy clear.

To do: Order replacement exterior door handles, radiator overflow, remove complete interior for steam cleaning and wet vac.

Have a look at mighty car mods on youtube. They started out modding micras and cuores, so you'll be able to get a lot of inspiration from them. All very tasteful and cheap mods. ;)
I'll have an FTO one day... i swear!

until then:
1. 2001 Merc-Benz A160 (porta-loo on wheels)
2. 2007 Peugeot 307 TDi (more fun than you'd expect)
3. 2009 Mitsubishi Triton Di-D (a monster in its own right)
4. 1992 Nissan NX Coupe (club car and project car)
5. 1996 Holden SB Barina - "The Nugget"
6. 1996 Jeep XJ Cherokee Sport - The Budget Build
7. 2010 Toyota Landcruiser 76 Series - V8 Goodness... - Build coming soon.
8. 1990 Audi 90 manual - The delightfully dignified daily driver

Are you saying it used only $10 worth of fuel for 230km?
Or it had fuel to being with?
