The seller just text me with a problem :(

His father has been looking after the car and has gone to Melbourne for the weekend with the car keys in his pocket.
The father won't be back till Monday.
I work long hours during the week, so that's out.
I am on call next weekend, so that's out.
I am off to Sydney the weekend after that, so that's out too.

I don't know what to do next :?
We just back back from three different ATMs to get enough cash out of the bank.

If he brings it into your work, then could you put it on the hoist and have a look under it as well as over it and in it too?

EDIT: I have just done a PPSR report on it and it is all clear of defects and no money owing :D

Last time I drank Jim Beam was when myself and Tim went out on town haha

But i'm sure we can arrange a time to put back a bottle or two ;)

Ok, the car we were looking at, which vipfto looked at for us was a...
1999 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Series II (Facelift) 6A13TT
Started being sold for $10,000 and the price had dropped to $8500 (Seller was willing to take $8000)
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/deta ... =4&sdmvc=1
vipfto wrote:OK seen it and is pretty much bog standard kms seem legit needs some wear and tear jobs done.

-all tyres shot
-r/f control arm bush bad (all will require replacing)
-has couple marks on paint (not pearl)
-hasscrew holes in interior from possible previos turb timer
-AYC is good no knocks but does seem to have a whine from front assume diff but possible pwr steer too
-shock seem fine as are belts etc althjough doubt had cambelt done and for age will be required
-almost though could smell coolant but couldnt spot any leaks
-oil leaking from rear rocker cover
-G/box does change smoothly

inside standard grey/black with 7"screen (aftermarket)

all in all reckon a good buy though

not fast as standard car and being tip but can easily change that

jap vin ec5a0300488

Hard to say bout cold start issues etc as car was naturally warm when here, could not see any smoke oil or fuel from exhaust though

Hope that helps (think its all but if you got any q's should be able to answer)
Sue has decided that it sounds like it needs too much done to it, but I'm not so sure?
What do you think?

...and I couldn't find a decoder for the VIN#

EDIT: I joined OzVR4 forums to maybe get some help, started a newbies thread, the only member that talked to me was Akys
