Astron's most impractical new ride.

Post by Astron_Boy »

Flame suit well fitted.

As some may know, others not.
The Mercedes met a sad demise on Christmas Eve 2014.
I had a few options, and after a lot of thought, and also a lot of random chance, I stumbled upon my latest cruiser.

Always been a fan of these cars.

No, it's not turbo.
Yes, it's an Aus spec.
Yes, it's automatic.
But a big fat wide and heavy, hell yes it's comfy as hell and turns heads.

160,000k on the clock, factory standard, no mods, still has factory exhaust and complete original sound system (which of course will be upgraded)
Fitted with nearly all the factory options including digital climate control which works perfectly.

Introducing Zuul.

Funny, I wouldn't have described an NX as 'big fat wide and heavy'. :troll:

Srs though, looks clean! Any major plans?

And what happened to the Merc?

No SRS, just a horn button... Totes.
:troll:

NX is a go-kart compared to the Z.

Merc was hit in the passenger rear quater exactly on the wheel by a brand new Porsche Cayman with someone behind the wheel who confessed to being tired.
So yeah, as I do with all cars, buy low insure high.
Paid out a nice amount, and bought the Z for less than even the Merc cost.

Plan is to keep it stock and repair what's needed.
Stereo will get new speakers and slotted in my bluetooth headunit.
Exhaust as it's factory is dead. Rear mufflers rattle and cats are blocked.
New straight through boxes on the back that will look factory is the only plan there.
No power mods, stock wheels staying on, no lowering either, cant even get my jack under the car as is...

So what you're saying is you're well practiced at incidental insurance fraud?

That's what they have air ride for!

Lawl.
Given the Z is insured for 4 times what I bought it at....

Air ride. I may as well make it a lowrider.
