Well, when I assembled the motor some 12-13 years ago, I remembered leaving the clutch & flywheel assembly lose, all hand nipped up, because I had to check the tower heights on the pressure plate before firing it up.

Now a lot of beer had passed between that memory & trying to start the car last Saturday :lol:

So what essentially happened was the starter motor spinning its tits off & nothing was happening. Quick check of the flywheel saw it dislodged from the crank & was free spinning :lol: No damage done bar a washer on the crank fortunately, but it's not all that easy to put it back together in-car.

Nice, I can imagine how frustrating that would be after having had easy access to the flywheel before installing the motor.

It was on my workbench, right in front of my face. I looked at it time & time again for weeks... nothing triggered :lol:

Tell me about it! I had to move an outdoor table made from cast iron and marble the other day... Was about 400kgs those 2 materials should never be used together...
