2013 FTO Christmas Party in the Hunter 7/8 December. $10ea

Post by Astron_Boy »

Cost: $10 per person. (No pay on entry, no food, wasted a drive.)

Event: FTO 2013 Christmas Party in the Hunter on the 7th/ 8th December.

Where: Hunter Valley near Cessnock. (Details will be forwarded to all attendees by PM prior to the event)

Time: 9am onwards the fun can begin.
Would be great if some locals could help setup the finer things, will be getting the bbq fire started early morning so it's ready and roaring for lunch and dinner.

Drinks: BYO (There is a pub nearby, about 2 mins drive, or 20 mins walk) Keys will be collected if you are drinking Alcohol. Only if you are sober will they be returned.

Food: Please confirm if you wish to pitch in some cash our way and we will cover you, or you will BYO for us to cook. (Probably easier putting in the penny jar as controlling where the food goes requires more attention than free-for-all.) Will determine a cost in 2 weekends time after we have solid numbers and I talk with our local butcher.

Cruise: If someone wants to organise a cruise from the south to the Hunter, by all means do so. (Not Lawso) :P

Accommodation: There is 1 spare double bed, a couch and POSSIBLY a single bed (single bed not yet confirmed)
Otherwise there is plenty of floor space for a sleeping bag, or if you wish, plenty of room for tents.
Pub nearby will have room for you to stay also...

Activities:
Apple powered Arcade machine with all NES and SNES games. (fingers crossed can get it there before)
BBQ
Bonfire (small confined, depending on weather)
Xbox

Attendees:
1: FTOwnage (Pitching a tent) :cheeky:
2: Bennoz (Caravaning)
3: Kaz (Caravaning)
4: Vectose (Pitching a tent)
5: Lawso (Reserved double bed.)
6: aza013 (Pitching a tent)
7: AJ

Hey peeps.

I know this is early, but the year winds down fast.

Been a bit of interest from people to see the new place here, and in thinking of a way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone...
Who would be up for a hosted Christmas party at our new place in the Hunter?

The date would be 7th/8th December. Firm 7th with some drag over to the 8th if people stay.

Idea namely would be for a BBQ and possible crash if you want to stay the night.
BYO meat or we can buy, but would be a fee to cover that cost.
BYO booze, no idea where you'd get that around here, but you can make do....

A cruise from a central location could be organised by someone, so that's another thing from it...
So, post up. Again, this is just an EOI, and if it doesn't eventuate, then saves me a clean up.

Closest town is Cessnock.

Unfortunately need a confirmed date for when people would rather by this Sunday.
Simply as we are planning another on either the previous or consecutive weekend.
