Good FTO Mechanic in SYdney

Post by RalliartBoy »

I'm back in an FTO after 8 years and don't know why I ever left them, they are a lot of fun.

Picked up a nice GPX with a lot of extras but it looks like the idler bearing is noisy and the clutch seems to not like being hot too much.

Drives fine and I had my mechanic look at it to confirm but he doesn't want to work on an FTO as he is not familiar with them.

Is there anyone in Sydney that can be recommended to take a look and do a good job at a considerate price ?

Where abouts in Syd?

South wise there is Ricol at Peakhurst, and Pulse at Menai has serviced a fair few FTO's as well ..
I just had to add it ......

They're going downhill. Rob Lloyd has left there last I heard, and it's full of apprentices. Still way overpriced too. Unless it's being paid for by insurance then I wouldn't go there.

It should ring a bell, first time I met you was at your house with a guy that went by the name of "manofwood" and we did some work on your car.
You also painted my Engine Cover and did a great job.....want to spray another one ? LOL

Try these guys... http://www.vimtech.com.au/

I've been taking my car to Vimtech for last few years. Also I know a few FTOs go there. If you happen to go there, just tell the owner my name and the red FTO you will get a discount LOL. BTW they are near Pendle Hill station.

Yes I remember :D .
Engine cover was red with white lettering ( I think lol ) or blue and white. I'm getting old and the brain is not working as good any more.
