For Sale Rules - Sellers, Buyers and Commenters please read

Post by Bennoz »

Hi all,

Please abide by these rules.

Sellers:

You cannot just sign on here for the first time and try to hock your car. This is not the Trading Post or Car Sales. Any one doing so, the post will be instantly deleted.

We provide this facility for contributing members of our club community. So unless you can prove to us, that is what you are, please do not post in here.

When selling, you must provide the following information about your car. Again, if you do not, the post will be removed.

* Car Spec's
* Price
* Your State
* And most importantly! Pictures of your car

If you do not know how to post pictures of your car, read this thread:
http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=22293

Buyers:

All sales conducted here on the site are between the buyer and the seller. FTO Aus takes no responsibility for the transaction. We are simply providing you with a means to finding a car for sale. Having said that, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have, as most of our club team have been around for a long time & we know a majority of the owners & their vehicles.

Commenters:

Sorry to sound harsh here guys, but there have been a few instances here lately of just plain rudeness.

Think of it this way, just like your mother told you (hopefully) as a child - IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY IT.

You dont go around bad mouthing items for sale on Ebay do you? So you don't do it here either. If you think the sellers price is too high, do not start posting and waffling on about how your car was half that price when you bought it, in their thread. They are trying to sell their car! If you have concerns about the price, then PM the seller. We all know if a price is to high, we've all seen it before, what happens? The sellers begins to drop their price until it does sell. Its like the changing of the tides, it will always happen.

Non-sale related comments such as 'nice body kit, where did you get it from?' should be done via PM. If the comment isn't related to the sale, send it via PM.

Standard moderation rules apply to breaches of these rules.

Other comments such as 'nice car, good luck with the sale' are always welcome.

Lets keep it clean folks! :)

Cheers,
Bennoz
