FS: FTO Turbo Brisbane $6,900

Post by FtoSam »

Hey guys,

Was planning on keeping the car so spent some more $$ on it... then the missus decides to renig... so up it goes for sale (again  )

I'm still working on her to try and let me keep it... but for now i'll put it up here...

Since it was last up, she's got a new boost controller (Gizmo Electric - freakin cool) as well as a new Turbosmart Ultra Gate (cost me a kidney)

Have just changed the oil again, as well as power steering, clutch and brake fluids. Radiator just been flushed too. Fairly new EBC green stuffs too.

Also just changed the fuel filter (now an inline unit).

She's still only on 8psi (injectors holding it back from more).

The engine has had a bajillion dollars spent on it and is built for 24psi (forged, honed, bored, chryo, custom cams, etc etc)

has only done about 5,000klms since being built.

Currently unregistered but i think would pass rego now she's up and running properly... no more running rich... runs at full grunt again (albeit at only 8psi)...

Just ask Simon what it was like on 6psi... its a little better again now....

Leatherette interior, massaging seats (all 4), HIDs, Pioneer 7" 6 stack touchscreen, a vast array of expensive smoked guages, carbon fibre centre surround, etc etc etc..

I'm open to swapping for a stock run about of some sort (FTO or otherwise) plus cash(depending on other car)

Or $19k outright.

All i ask is that whoever buys it, please please get some big injectors, a big turbo and then wind er up... would love to see this thing push 500hp+..

$16k...

Its just had a full service including new plugs, oil, coolant, filter, etc...

Its just sitting in the garage doing nothing while i drive a work ute...

The missus has put a halt to me spending money on it (again)... :(

would be a great car for someone... leave it as it, or spend a little more and make it even more off tap!

Oh and text or call me on 0402 02 25 82 if you want to know something...

Who did the cams, and is it MIVEC?

You should post pictures up.

Good luck with the sale :)

Not keen for a swap at the moment.

The Cams were done by RPW in WA. Engine block was freighted over there for all the serious work.

Its a GPX with a GR (Non Mivec) engine. This was done due to the easier nature of getting more grunt from big boost without MIVEC getting in the way.

Will grab some shots when i get home...

Seriously... someone come for a drive... this thing will make you wet yourself.

I'm in Brisbane.

We're buying a house plus her car is pretty much dead...

I have a company car and work 7 days... no time to work on it or to enjoy it...

Its taking space in the garage where the missus's new car will go (for insurance purposes).

I'm really disapointed about getting rid of it... its been such a passion of a car, but I need the money and the car deserves to go somewhere where someone can drive it, enjoy it, and bring it up to the level it was designed to be.

She's pretty much ready for a roadworthy, except the exhaust is pretty loud and there's no demister (removed for weight along with A/c). But if you know the mechanic they prob wouldnt worry about it.

If you want it to go even faster, thats a bit more:
- Turbo (GT35/40 please)
- Injectors (some 700cc+ would be nice)

Of course you're also gonna wanna get that power down... but the engine is set up to run at 22-26psi. the cams are designed to be at peak efficiency around that sort of boost.

at 8psi she's a real handful. Its nothing like an FTO. Simon or Ben could testify to that.

As you could probably tell i've been chopping and changing my mind way too much with selling this. and last time i ended up spending a fair bit on getting her ready for a roadie... some new tyres.. a new Greddy Electronic boost controller... i refitted all the interior, threw the engine back together... tidied up a lot of crap.

She comes with the 18" Lightweight Motegi Wheels, clear indicators, carbon fibre center dash, several smoked guages, my beloved digital tacho, issota leather wheel and matching gear knob, leatherette seats with massagers and heaters (all 4 seats), etc etc...

at $13,000 i'm keeping the touch screen dvd player and the front speakers (Boston acoustic Pro Series).

Other wise, $14,500 and i'll leave them in (head unit cost me $2,400 and speakers were $1,250. sound AMAZING)

I really would love to see this thing stay in the club... and go to someone who will finish the last 2% of work...

has the potential to be the fastest FTO in aus. just needs a couple more trinkets.
