We're gonna manual convert it, turbo it, chuck on some semi slicks and take it up to the drags

Just turbo, manual, V8 from a Holden Monaro, semi slicks! Gosh you guys are so unrealistic and ridiculous.

Oh and RWD converted.

Yes, I have purchased the barina.

The fact of the matter is that I don't have enough time anymore to do what I wanted to on the NX, and with it in pieces makes it just annoying in the front yard. One of my mates from tafe will be taking it on as a track car, and is paying me back exactly what I paid for it (including the timing chain and VRS kits).

The other issue is my triton is 3.5 years old and goes in for its 120,000km service on monday. :( The barina will be my daily to and from work, which should save me a tonne in fuel money, while the triton will become a weekend warrior/workhorse. It'll also mean I'll be able to get a lot more out of the warranty on it, which finishes at 130K.

It will not be receiving a turbo, or manual OR RWD conversion (as fun as they'd all be). The idea is for it to cost me as little money as possible so I can save up, buy an FTO while finishing off the Triton. I've had a set of crawler gears sitting in my room since December last year, the only reason they haven't been installed is because I can't afford to have it off the road for more than a day, as alternative transport between home and work would take upwards of 2.5hrs.

I shall look after it, and it shall continue to be the mighty slug it was designed to be!

Just make sure you don't forget you are driving a barina instead of the triton if you see some mounds you want to drive over. :)

That'll probably be the biggest thing to remember. But if I do get stuck, I'm sure the loud pedal will work fine.

Doesnt have one of those. Just two pedals - one that slows it down and the other changes the direction of the wind around the car to push it forward a little bit

I think the hamster in the engine bay has arthritis.
