For Sale - The Lorax [SOLD]

Post by dstocks »

Well, recently found that my work has stuffed my lease for the last 2 years, the upshot being that im still locked into the km based calculation. This means I have to rack up lots of km on the ute for the next 18 months until my lease runs out. This makes my orange beast surplus to requirements as ultimately I cant drive it. Here are some pics from a month or so ago. Will get current ones soon.

I have put around 8000km on it since I registered it and it is running beautifully and it does not have the common mivec tappet ticking normally associated with most of these engines (now has 235K on clock). The engine had a new timing belt less than 10000Km ago, had new seals (so no leaks) and from memory, I was told the rack boots had also been done. Lots of meat on the tires, no roof rust and manual. Interior is near immaculate. It would have to have around 10 months rego still left on NSW plates. Oh and the orange Avery Dennision vinyl wrap is 2 months (or so) old, so REALLY stands out (cost $1600). Car is pretty much stock except stereo and mags (18"). Is a GPX, so MIVEC. Shell is dead straight although there are a couple of very shallow dents in the roof if you look at the right angle (hard to see due to carbon fibre). The only thing I can think of that needs doing is the rear PS speaker has a bit of a crackle. Has front and rear strut braces so handles brilliantly.

Im thinking if I get $4500 that would keep me happy and provide enough of a bargain for someone wanting an FTO in really good condition that is stunning to look at. You can get me at home on 02 4478 1311.

Oh, car is South Coast NSW and will post some pics after I get a chance to give it a wash.

cheers

Yeah, I thought stuff it, why wait. Ive pretty much made the decision, so may as well see what interest I get. I could use the cash and I can always buy another 18 months or so down the track.

OK,with 12 months more on my ute lease (which I have to drive for the lease), have decided to sell the Lorax as im not using it enough to warrant rego, insurance etc. Pictures above. Vinyl is still in good condition, interior is mint, is a manual (gear changes are smooth). Have done 15000 km since I put it on the road, 600 km in the last week. Has 240000 km on the clock. I was told the belts and rubbers were changed just before I bought the car. Im thinking the bonfire might be a good opportunity for a change over if that suits. Looking for $4300 with the above rims or $3800 with stock rims. Eats up the kms effortlessly. Is not using oil or water, no leaks, no rust.

This is a good car, and in orange, certainly stands out. Ive sold quite a few FTO's to club members in the past and as many people on the forum can attest, the cars I sell are a good buy.

Dwayne quality approved, I would buy cars off Dwayne without even inspecting them. That's how I bought my Fto off him. Glws Dwayne. :)

              Yeah, why not!

I dont think I bothered to wire in the el panels, so at present they dont light up, but is a nice bonus. And flare was in it when I got it. Ive already got one, so dont need it.
