'99 Manual GPvR Aero [NSW]

Post by TomHenman »

The time has finally come to part ways with my FTO :(
Not in any rush to sell, just thought I'd put the ad out and get a feel for any interest

Image

Price: $10,000 Nego
Location: Sydney or Wollongong
Current Km’s: 101,000

Recently had the motor replaced ~8,000km ago by Thornleigh Cylinder Heads and Engine Reconditioning. New motor with just under 100,000km pressure tested etc. While out had timing belt, water pump assemblies, sparkplugs changed etc. Also at the same time, fitted with an Exedy heavy duty clutch, had the flywheel machined, gearbox oil replaced, all power steering hoses replaced and Samco Blue silicon radiator hoses fitted. Have receipts for everything. Just had minor service at Thornleigh Cylinder heads.

- Stainless steel extractors, front pipes & a 2.5” mild steel cat back exhaust + Apexi cannon
- ARC air intake box with induction pipe to HKS pod filter (covered)
- Mivec controller
- Exedy Heavy Duty clutch
- Samco blue silicone radiator hoses
- NGK Iridium Sparkplugs

Wheels & Suspension:

- 17x8.5 Wedsport SA70 wheels

- D1 Aluminium wheel nuts
- RDA Grooved & Dimpled rotors
- EBC Green Stuff brake pads

Cosmetics & Interior:

- Ts Factory Facelift bar
- Dspeed Clear Side indicators
- 55W 6000k HID's
- Touch Screen Head unit (DVD, GPS navigation, bluetooth, ipod connect etc)
- Kenwood 6x9 360w speakers in rear, 6x6 350w in front
- Oil Pressure moulded vent gauge (not yet installed)

Have a bunch of spares too that can be included too. Probably missed a bunch of stuff too, so feel free to ask if you've got any questions/ want more info

Just seeing where the market is at and where there's interest as i'm in no rush at all to sell. I know what I payed for it and what's gone into it, and it might be ambitious but to the right person they might see the value.

The problem with cars is you never get the money you spent on them back. For example, you can say you spent 30k but you're not gonna get it back.

Why's everyone selling aye! Good luck man, hope you get a decent price, it's a clean vR so that should do you some favours anyway.

If he wrapped it blue it would definitely be worth $10k

Goodluck Tom!

Doubt you'd find a cleaner Version R other than Brendans old turbo GPvR and dstocks.

They are going up in price in japan but the local market is low.

    lol @ you bastards...

The only reasoning behind my pricing was because Nath bought Renz's FTO for $7000...and I got around 5 offers over the period of 2-3 months all over $6k for my fully hectic blue scissor door FTO 8) ... So I put it up for $10, brought it down to 9...got an offer at $7750, but turns out I had an oil leak so had to re-negotiate to $7350. Took 4 months to sell. I knew I was selling to a niche market, I knew it would take a while (even though in my case, not as long as I thought), but it doesn't change the fact that it did sell. Besides I think Sahin mentioned he sold his FTO last year for $8k lol, so anything is possible...especially if you have an FTO as clean as Tom's.

Glws mate, I'm sure the right buyer will come along eventually for it. Hang in there.
