Definitely.

I doubt it would've been polished up from factory.
I fix cars.

Thanks guys.

As Daniel said, the intakes come from factory as sand cast alloy so they always had ripples, bumps and inperfections.

Tonight I masked the mirrored finished bits and painted the parts I wanted painted with metalcast red.
It is a very scary task after all the work that has gone into it.
I haven't removed the masking tape yet so I still don't know if it has worked or if I have runs of red paint everywhere.
I have taken moar pics so I will post them when the job is complete.

I am also considering polishing my slam panel to a mirror finish.

OK....Intake manifold is finished
I painted the parts I wanted painted with Metalcast Red.
The masking tape/paper has been removed and I re-sanded and re-polished the lettering to get it back to a mirror finish.

I don't think so, 40 hours is a lot of work.

Do your own, you can do it, you know you can, go buy some wet and dry and get started.

Your car was off the road for long enough lately, you could have done yours before me.

Oh and thanks for the "Hot Damn" :D

Today I fitted new front and rear anti roll mounts, I had them sitting on the shelf since the bonfire
Thanks to Dwayne for supplying the parts :D

I also washed, polished, removed bug/tar stains, polished headlights, touched up stone chips, polished muffler/tailpipe, vacuumed, detailed interior and glossed the tyres....All ready for the Copper Coast Show and Shine 8)

I also cleaned up the games room/shed and set up my Jim Beam pool table (home made)

I'll be doing all that on Friday, but i'll still rock up to the show and shine as if I'd never cleaned it at all :/
