Camskill's courier won't post shock absorbers. :| Which is lame but oh well! One more tally in favour of coilovers lol, though I may get be able to get the shocks locally, not sure if they'd be specific for the FTO or if I could order them in though.

Note that the KYB replacements are shorter. When trying to fit lawso's Evo rims to my car, they were smacking on the coil seat on my car quite badly, but not at all on lawso's car on standard shocks.

Yeah, that's why I was wanting to get the actual FTO replacements, and not the S40 Volvo ones which I believe accounts for their shortness. That is a consideration though, especially if I want to upsize to some 18x9.5 +15 RPF1s in future. :hey:

That would explain why mine occasionally hit the shock in the rear...

Just one more push for coils I guess....

I don't think it's hitting the shocks in the rear unless you have some large amount of camber it's probably just knocking on either the bottom of the well or the edge of the fender.

A lot of people on the 17s bandwagon but I think if you run a decent tyre it would be fine. I've been in Tim's car numerous times and I wouldn't describe the ride badly at all. Maybe I should try the girlfriend's CX-7 rims. would look sunk as the stockies, but same size and tyre that I'd probably use.

It's definitely hitting the shock, as I can see the marks on them :p
This was after a couple of days, front shocks:

Usually they would pick up on that in a WoF... Hmm best way of checking?

Yeah, front would with your offset, but the rear doesn't have a perch like the front.

Yeah, I'll check for the wheel bearings.
It's just another excuse for coil overs I think :)

Reason* I'm interested about how adjustable the travel is. Would love to do some fender flares but not sure about cutting up the arches to do so. Like I want a good actual height off the ground, but placing some bolt on fenders that are more flush than I could do with the stock guards because it would be too low.
