Yeah, I'm keen. Probably going to be a while yet though till I can justify/afford it. And yet to decide if I want to keep the fins on the Dcuatro skirts!

It'll be facelift in a couple months or so, that'll tide me over for the moment.

Let it sit too long while I've been waiting for Tim to get back so I can fix the hub situation.

Flat battery.

I will admit the white is growing one me, still needs a good polish though.

Meanwhile, made some interesting discoveries at #TimKnottMotorsport this afternoon.

    Image

    So this is the hub.

    Image

    And the brackets.

    Image

Unfortunately (as I knew but didn't quite comprehend the implication of) since the hub has been modified I can't utilise a stock one. :| Fortunately, Tim seems to be fairly confident it is only the bearings that need replacing, so he'll determine that tomorrow. (are you sure you replaced the passenger bearings Zaaaaach). Worst case, hub is stuffed and I'll either need new brackets both sides and a right hub also, some stock brakes, or selling off the Brembos and buying a bolt on kit.

Promise bearing was replaced thats just how flogged out the hubs is. When we replaced it it still had an incredible amount of play hence you may have seen the shim that was there. Unfortunately once i found out how bad it was it was a few days until you were going to be picking the fto up so i did the best i could with what i had, the time i had and also to make sure would would make the trip home safely
gotta get there one day :)

Passenger. We didn't notice it unless it was out of view.

Update as of yesterday, Tim's pressed the bearings out and reckons they were put in incorrectly. I've got some more coming from good ol' Ebay which may or may not arrive in time.
Bennoz wrote:wtf is that hub off?
A mid 90's, Japanese built, V6 front wheel drive coupe? it used to be a stock hub. Have another look at it, the previous mounts have been sawn off and new holes tapped further in, and to fit the bracket around it some meat has been carved off the body of the hub.

I tried explaining this briefly to Tim and yourself, but not knowing what it actually looked like myself, we weren't sure what to expect. No matter, I'll keep it on for the meantime, but my intention is to sell the Brembos on and grab the ATTKD kit, as I'd much prefer to have unaltered hubs in case something actually does go wrong with one.

I'm sure Regency would like to see unbutchered hubs as well :(D):

So, I've been rambling about it in a couple threads, but will post my mental debates here as well. Looking for a bolt on BBK to replace the Brembos eventually as aforementioned, and I've been scouting about for options. The Wilwood kit from Freaky Parts in the UK is not much bigger than stock, and not a lot of info on the site about it.

As Ben posted about, Just Jap stocks an ATTKD kit in a variety of configurations. I should have jumped on it earlier, as unfortunately due to the exchange rate they've just had to bump the prices up around $200 for each kit. :(

    Here's a look and a link.

    Image
    http://justjap.com/attkd-brake-kit-mits ... 94-97.html

    The options I'm considering are:

    4 Piston 304x28mm : $1600
    4 Piston 330x32mm : $1700
    6 Piston 330x32mm : $1800

I did come across this brand called Ceika, who also supplies a bolt on kit (with a guarantee, apparently), and also a two year warranty on most of the components. (You have to ship faulty parts to them, though they cover return costs).

    Image
    http://ceikaperformance.com/cart.php?m= ... ty=1&riID=

They have a few more configurations available, as well as custom colours for calipers, rotor hats etc. Considering these (rounded the prices up):

    Small 4 Piston 304x26mm : $1489
    Small 6 Piston 304x26mm : $1561

    Medium 4 Piston 330x28mm : $1561
    Medium 6 Piston 330x28mm : $1661

    Large 4 Piston 330x32mm : $1627
Large 6 Piston 330x32mm : $1736 (probably overkill but lol why not)

Before I had goofed the Ceika website and not set it to AUD it was looking more tempting, but now that I've put all the prices up there, the difference is not particularly significant unless I'm going for the cheapest and smallest option... Plus, unless Ceika are willing to split the order, I'll get walloped by Import tax once it hits Australian shores, which would likely obliterate any potential savings.
