clued's '97 GX

Post by clued »

Hi Guys

clued here from Auckland, NZ

Just thought I'd post my '97 GX on here.

Have had it for about 5 months now and loving it.

Since I bought it I've done the following:
- Fixed window trim (was chrome before, original rubber ripped off when purchased)
- Front window tints (came with rear and rear window tints already)
- Finally got the damn center console and console surround from a pick a part for $20 and $7! respectively. The original one was in multiple pieces as a previous owner tried to 'feed an aux wire' through the left side of the console surround
- 100k km service (parts bought from camskill).
- New JVC head deck & JVC 6'inches in the front + JVC 6x9's in the back.
- Front strut bar.
- Mitsubishi Emblem installed on front bumper.

To do as at 30/03/15:
- Version R spoiler.
- New springs, lowered.
- New Tyres + bushings.
- Full exhaust replacement.
- If I can find a good one, I'll get a low kms Mivec 6A12 (have been told it's straight drop in).

Anyways proud owner of this FTO and have a few mates who have purchased FTO's as well and would be keen on coming on the next FTO meet.

Cheers! and nice to meet you all :D

FYI our group of mates appreciates all cars so yes that's a GTR and Celica in the picture.

Looks awesome mate, loving the white wheels, the version R spoiler will top it off nicely.

Yes it is ;)

And yep Mivec 6A12 is straight drop in. Just need to swap ECUs and wiring looms over as well.

Edit: Also, Enkei RP01 wheels! One of my favourites!
I fix cars.

    Welcome to the club!
A nice tidy example you've got there!
You may see Nick driving around Auckland occasionally, he's got a white one with a Carbon Fibre GPvR spoiler.

If you haven't already, join up to FTO NZ (http://www.fto.co.nz) as we're getting more and more Auckland members, so may be able to organise a meet up there!

I'm from Dunedin by the way :)

Thanks for the response guys! I'll update my post as I do more to my FTO (it's so modular in terms of what you can do to it).

and yep I've joined FTO NZ as well and go between both sites. :D

    Cheers!
