Blue 2

Post by dstocks »

Thought id start a repair thread for the blue FTO I just picked up. Started out with a bang in the front. I have straightened it out and Cameron has helped reinstall the aircon condensor (just needed straightening - still holding gas) and the radiator.

We have replaced with stock wheels at this stage as well as hero is selling the tyres.

Cameron may end up angling for this one instead of the red one. It has an airbag, so im sort of tempted. Either way,we'll fix both.

Here are a few pics of where this is currently at.

Took it for a lap on the dirt. Acceleration really surprised me. Not sure if its just my imagination or the bigger throttle body.

Mine would win that. This does have extractors and exhaust done and has intake, but not piggyback. It doesnt have the LSD anymore due to the gearbox conversion. I can get the tip LSD back off hero though. Does anyone know if I can retro fit that into the manual box?

I was under the firm impression that the lsd's were interchangeable between the tips and manuals, is this definitely not the case?

            Correct,

I had already looked into it as I was under the same impression

Definitely different. Had them both in my hands, tip one is huge, doesn't fit in manual box housing. Crown wheel bolt spacing is also different.
