Destinationtoby's GPX PROJECT number 2

Post by destinationtoby »

My FTO number 2 !
Picked up this old girl from nearby for $2000 yesterday.
It came with a heap of spares.

I believe it's a 94 GPX, is an ex show car and belonged to foulz ( a previous member from here)
192000kms
It needs some work body wise & could probably do with a major service ( judging by the poor upkeep on the body) but time will tell.

Vicious LSD ( very noticeable compared to my old one)
5spd manual
TS front bar
Car was painted custom wistaria purple in around 2002ish.
VS rear bar
Front strut brace
Sunroof
ABS
Illegally dark window tint.
Bc Br coilovers allround
Adjustable rear drop links
Lenso 18" wheels
Undersealed/coated the rear wheel arch wells with an anti corrosive bitumen sealer.
The list goes on. I'll add to it in due time.

Sometimes I wonder why I don't see the Veilside rear bar very often.

Then I see it and wonder no longer.

Still, cool to see you with an FTO again. :thumleft: Should be a good project (don't sell it before you can drive it please  )

The fella I bought it from was complaining about a knocking noise coming from the wheels whilst driving & there being a gap between the wheels and the hub where it's supposed to sit flush. Turns out he didn't remove the hub centric spacer rings from the previous wheels  not sure how long he had been driving around like this for but he's lucky he didn't crash.
Had to cut them off.

Partly yes lol the s14 rims have actually been sketchily bored out to fit over the centre hub of a fto.
I don't care though, as it's not getting driven & I certainly won't be keeping the POS wheels
