My FTO :) ~Shiggz

Post by shiggz »

Hey guys,

So I haven't properly introduced myself... I'm still fairly new, but I have posted a few things up.

Okayyyy, so about 1-2 months ago, I bought my first FTO (For ~$4000). Its a silver '95 GPX Manual, with 88,000kms. It looks pretty amazing for 20 years old, really good condition and yup low km's for that age too! 8)

Such a great car to drive!

I've done a few things to it so far, not a whole heap yet:
(I've bought a Bozz Speed Facelift Front Bar - I didn't want to make this thread until I installed it all, but they're having some stupid shipping problems right now  ) - Got some pretty cool plans for all that
  • New Wheels; XXR 527, 18 x 8.75, with Zenna Argus 225/40/18
  • 6000K HID's
  • EPR Tow Strap
  • Shark Fin Antenna
  • Sound System; Double DIN Kenwood HU + 2x Pioneer front speakers + 2x Kicker Rear Speakers + Sony 5 ch. amp + 1000W Fusion Sub
  • Plastidipped interior with neochrome gear shift and black/red suede cover
  • Replaced Heater Core
  • Replaced clutch slave
  • DC Rear Apron (Not painted or installed yet)
  • Has an aftermarket exhaust (from previous owner)
And finally for the pictures! :)

(Not sure why the front bumper in all these pictures looks off colour..)

Nice! Can't wait to see it all come together. You got the bar from the UK didn't you?

Thanks :) Yup, thats the one... It was being shipped with Parcel2Go... but 1 month later they said they can't send it over, so now we're trying to get the bumper back to the seller, so he can send it over with another courier :| Such a headache.

and also a while ago, I carbon fiber wrapped the stereo surround, but then i had to remove it to get a quote for hydrodipping, which i couldn't get done because there were 2 small cracks in the plastic... but this is how the wrap looked:

Parcel2Go is just a broker and all promises right up until they've taken your cash! I've used them on a number of occasions and tend to use DPD or TNT. Maybe one of those types of companies refused to ship the bumper (which you guys weirdly call a bar). :)

They're soo stupid :x :x :x its been 1.5 months since I paid the eBay seller.. and the bumper is still with Parcel2Go, trying to get returned back to the seller :|
I've got everything waiting for the facelift upgrade... so irritating :'(

Hahaha yeh, I call it a bumper too! I'm starting to get influenced to call it a bar now :P
I also still/used to call a 'rear wing', a spoiler, but nowadays everyone calls it a wing... because racecar? hahaha

Just a few pictures to update my thread, while I find time one day to completely update and list all the things I've done to the car..
This is how the FTO is looking now.
Still not the most up to date photos as I'm constantly working on it, but it shows the progress for the most part.

Damn that dual exhaust clean, the mario sticker on the back is a bit tacky though eh, still not a fan of the lambo lights either but each to their own!

Did you just mask the lights up and tint them like that?

Thanks!
Yeh just masked them up, and used niteshade.
But I'm going to experiment with the red tint because it looks more elegant/sleek
