EOI working bee

Post by BorepYano »

per my thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=21657

anyone interested in having a few members come around to help with whatever job you want to do on YOUR car?

it can be anything from mechanical (sort of depends on if we have the know-how and tools of course) to any DIY installation, to just cleaning the car (if you are so inclined), pretty much anything you need help with, or just motivation to get off your ass and actually doing it.

in return, you are to provide pizza and refreshments :D

if interested, make a wish list below :)

 Sounds good, do you think that someone might be able to help me out adjusting my noisey tappets? If so I would be happy to fund the food & drink.
I can help out with the easier stuff.

Yo matt didn't you have some sh*t to do on your car?

Like the rear pads/fuel filter and something about swaybar bushes? I wanna learn how to do the pads/fuel filter anyway so why not we start on your car?

(though it might be an idea to do it at someone elses place to save everyone driving up to toowoomba?

Rears are easy. Just remember to slacken off the handbrake cable & use a set of needle nose plyers to wind in the pistons. They dont push straight in.

How about I show you how do the front tappets and then you can do the rear on your own ;)

As for brakes easy as, I can teach you all.

I'll also show one person how to do fuel filter and you all better be paying attention because then your doing it yourselves

Im just waiting on a valve, I had trouble tracking one down so the same company that got me the gasket set & head studs is having a valve made up for me im hopeing to get it back in the next week or so.
Then fingers crossed that my guy knows what hes doing and can get the car back together for me, I miss my Fto
