Vinyl wrap

Post by fallknox »

Hey so after a long hard think, I have decided that I'm going to vinyl wrap my car matte black I was just wondering if anyone knew where to get this done in Queensland or if anyone here has done it before and wants to do my car for a bit of cash?

dstocks (dwayne) has done it...check his build threads.

I think he is planning to hold a small tutorial session on how to do vinyl wraps at the Bonfire. If you are coming to the bonfire, it should help you out. :)

Yep, my whole car has been done in Pitch Blue Metallic Hexis. I get it from here:

If you are going to do it yourself, buy good quality vinyl. The metallic I bought is about $45 a metre, but the plain colours will be a lot cheaper.

I will be doing a tutorial at the bonfire. Have also thought about offering to do cars for people as well, but havent moved on it just yet. Here is my build thread:

Happy to answer and questions.

You need about 17m to do a car.

Not really. And ive stuffed a couple of big panels. Make it 20m to be safe and do the biggest bits first otherwise you end up with a whole stack of large off cuts that just arent quite big enough.

Thats a good price. Be aware though, that wont get your door sills done in all likelyhood. My orange wrap cost me $1600 and didnt include that. Looked strange when you opened the door.
