Since it is mildly on topic, I may, as mentioned earlier be going insane, as the oil level seems to be fine. Good for not using oil. Not good for explaining why I got no MIVEC...

The mivec has so many variables to considered when diagnosing why it isn't working. I've had issues where mine would engage and then suddenly out of the blue it started working again. Even now though there is a slight chance it won't engage 100% of the time but that just comes down the oil pressure and oil temp and stuff like that.

Seems so! Took it out again just now, not sure if I could tell if it was engaging, but on the last stretch I'm fairly certain it was going again.

It's something you can't monitor in real daily driving either (at least for me), because trying to hit MIVEC and not break the speed limit means staying in first and looking like an absolute hoon.

The way I work out if my mivec is about to kick in or not is dependant on the sound the pod is making, if its sucking in more air at 5,000rpm it's about to kick in if it doesnt then i know it'll hit the limiter.

It all comes down to knowing your car, takes awhile

Mm. Can't wait until I have money again and can fit a pod. I remember even on the 323 it made the engine sound so much better, would help for identifying that too!

Is she hot? But kidding.

I think I'm sorted with my non-issue. So I suspect it'll be you, Jack and I watching Tim and okamitengu "do sh*t to [his] mivec" as per the title. :?: Moral support and expert supervision and such.

edit: or joy-rides in Tim's Turbo Terror.

That would be mean-spirited and completely against the point. :(

If you bring the bike, you have to make sure okami's ride is ready for the cruise! 8)
