Need Exhaust!!!

Post by chop_sticks »

My FTO has a hole in the exhaust tip. Anyone got a second hand one for sale??? Most prefferably in Melbourne. Really cheap too.

r u talking about the exhaust tip or the muffler, cause if its just the exhaust tip, just cut it off, then weld another one on, cost u around $30 all up!

If its the muffler, well 02NV got one 4 sell!

i think with the HKS Super Drager muffler, the exhaust design itself is different because it's more of an L shape instead of an angle mounted exhaust (before the muffler).

therefore, you are better off replacing just the tip instead of the muffler because i was told the HKS muffler alone is extremely expensive ($1200). It'll work out cheaper to just buy my 5Zigen muffler and have a custom mild-steel mandrel bent cat-back system fabricated to suit...

i'll come to you if you like... but it'll be next week (coz it's my week off from work).

if you want pics, go to: http://002nv.cjb.net
price: $150 ONO (brand new $600)

ps: if you find it slightly too loud for your liking, get a resonator - it'll help bring the decibels down.

I have made a thread about some other things for sale on my car - check the Parts For Sale section int his forum...

it's a 5Zigen Fireball muffler... the tip is angle cut, but i presume it wouldn't be too hard to weld another tip on top of it... (however, you will lose the engraved 5zigen logo if you do so)

for pics, go to: http://www.5zigenusa.com/pages/exhaust/fbrear.html

my car actually came with the exhaust system fitted, and so far it has only clocked 40,000kms, so the muffler couldn't have done any more than that... Just needs some light cleaning on the outside to bring that shine back...

I've had numerous expressions of interest on my muffler already, so first in best dressed!
