Oran Park practice day tomorrow - Video Uploaded
Finally I'll be taking the new racecar out for a run tomorrow.
The timing belt is fixed, the car is on the trailer and we're ready to go!
If anyone's around OP tomorrow feel free to drop in and say Hi. I'll be there all day from around 7:30. Looks like the weather is clear so should be a good day. Just hope it's not too busy.
I've installed my incar camera so will be putting up some footage later in the week.
For some more info on me & the car see the following thread;

Very busy day at OP yesterday, probably around 20+ sedans, plus open wheelers, a couple of go karts and bloody drifters as well , so didn't get as much track time as I was hoping for, but all in all was a great day!
The FTO is a lot of fun to drive, was pushing 180 on the straight. Not sure what times I did yet, my laptimer was playing up so I need to install some software on my PC to download the data files. I've never driven a front wheel drive at speed before, so I've got a lot of learning to do, but I put Rick Shaw in the car for a session (very experienced driver and all round good bloke) and he did a 1:24, so pretty happy with the cars potential. Was running crappy used tyres and stock suspension.
I'll post up some video footage for anyone who's intersted later in the week.
Now to get it log booked and go racing

Yep awesome day, beats working
I only really got 3 sessions in the car though, my best laptime was a 1:29 in the third session before a Commodore dropped it guts (oil) all over the track! I then put Rick in the car for the second last session of the day, expecting to go faster again myself in the last session but lost the p/s belt on the second lap so that was it for the day.
Might take it out to EC again in a couple of weeks. Need to get more practice in it, not used to driving front wheel drive. My previous racecar was a 290hp rwd turbo, so 170hp fwd non turbo is a little different to drive lol!
Vids to come
