Re: Bjs turbo Version R fto
Thought I would do an update its been a while :/ Ok went to dial the billet cam gears in and they have started to fall apart... the metal wasn't heat treated enough and they are falling apart they are in Perth getting fixed ATM and should be back next month fingers crossed Since then I have upgraded the front brakes with 356mm floating rotors with 8 pot calipers upgrading the rear as well. I epoxyed in a pair of BMW M3 bonnet vents into the carbon bonnet and had it sprayed.. the colour is a little out which I will get fixed when the car is running

Upgrading rear rotors 260mm to 314mm callipers have been power coated the same colour as the front with EBC red stuff pads installed and a custom calliper bracket made. Should be the goods

Paint is rated up to 500 degrees. I would assume powdercoating would endure more.silverGPX wrote:Does powdercoat have higher temp rating than, the brake caliper paint?

High silicone content powders withstand temperatures up to 1000ºF and offer superior durability when compared to brush and spray-on coatings.

edit: It has the normal bonnet on it though.
