Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
I just bought evo 8 17" enkei wheels today, took it for a quick run to only find they're scrubbing the guards any way to fix this without having to spend too much money

Could be a different offset though couldnt they?thats exactly the same wheels I run with no problems at all... Take the guard liners out
Where exactly are they scrubbing? On full lock or continuously or going over bumps?

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
So far going over bumps that causes the scrubbing, could adjusting the coil overs also help give clearance and camber / wheel tuck
Just hardened the coil overs now : / haha

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
Yep, that would probably help.If you arent prepared to do that, youll have to lose the guard liners like Sahin says

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
Update
-Stockies are back on 2 are down to the bulbs....
-Removed front guard liners
-Coils hardened (somehow feels better than softened coils )
-Need to remove rear liners still.
-Wheel offset still seems wide on the back and front and can't roll front guards unless I go back to oem , not sure if spacers were run or what kind if they were, do your tyres line up slightly wider than the guards sahin?

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
That would be your problem right there. Tyres.
235/45 and a lowered car would cause the scrubbing.

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
Will removing the spacers give more clearance to the guards, since i can't really roll the front being fiberglass

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
plus removing the rear liners, should give enough clearance until I can slowly get the money to change the tyre widths

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
Rear liners? Wut
And with the front guards being fibreglass you can just cut them you don't have to roll them but I haven't had to do that...

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
The rear does not have removable guard liners! Its part of the chassis and is metal

Re: Quick fix for wheel scrubbing
Haha yeah that would defs scrub everywhere on 235/45 with those enkeis. I can only get away with it as I'm running +20 offset. The spacers will be helping your cause, see if u can get bigger ones!

Also get a wheel alignment and raise it up a bit
