Re: Res' soon to be 6a12m coupe
sorry guys I dont build them for others due to the damage it causes to the fixture and i dont want liability.
If you want to do it by all means I sell the kit to do it via my parts supply business.
almost have a new day job, so once i get that going will get some parts for the 6a12m before it goes in
Eterna adj. camgears, 6g7x large tube fuel loop, and block hugger headers and a evo3 S90 throttle are on the cards.
the gears will be first as i want them before I do the new timing belt on
more pics of headlights.. cos went for a solo nasho spin

Re: Res' soon to be 6a12m coupe
so, now confirmed RP's fit the rear with a 5mm slip, so when I have a bit of spare dosh i will get the rears
glad the rears are not pushed out too far, can run a 215 semi with just a rolling
inside of the rim clears the trailing arm by about 1mm

swap starts this weekend, here is to hoping everything works this weekend
got a guy who knows how to wire it, got a guy who knows how to wire neat and got me who knows how to rip an engine out and put one in
got a long list of parts waiting to be installed on the coupe/engine aswell at some stage when its all up and running with no hitches

Isn't swapping engines fun? How actually easy is it to bolt up to 6A12? How many other things to go?

Re: Res' soon to be 6a12m coupe
so coupe is slightly drivable, engine is somewhat stable although has its moments
A huge cleanup and fix up to come on a lot of systems still, no power steering currently, no speedo, cant even tell if mivec switches over, cant tell if the manifold butterflies are working as they should and no A/c as of yet
power steering and speedo need immediate attention so its drivable in a safe legal manner, fixed overheating problem today, fans are now wired up and coolant overflow run to overflow tank as it should.
even though im on a stock 1.5L lancer exhaust from the cat back it sounds quiet but cool, can tell it has a little burble in it if it was louder

Looking good Res,
My intake manifold butterflies never worked either, even though when connected to a diagnostic tool I could trigger them.
Also if you are not sure MIVEC is switching over then it probably isn't.
Are you in Sydney or Queensland?

its hard to tell much so far, i have been focusing more on stability of the engine over getting the performance bits workingspetz wrote:Looking good Res,

and the fact i have probably only driven an hour in the car so far.
when i get it to my new place i will have way more time to work on things
im in sydney now

Went to drive the coupe home on sunday night, got half way home when the clutch went sloppy.... D: in the middle of the pouring rain
smashed 1st and limped it off the highway and around to a safe side street.
it was working fine for the first maybe hour of the new motor test driving and getting home, then started to quickly get worse.
my diagnosis is either a clutch leak which not leaking fluid but moreso sucking small amounts of air in. or a dead clutch slave cylinder.
so going to go back this weekend and rebleed it, which should get it home if its not the slave, and then trouble shoot where the leak is or replace the slave.
