oh it will be, it'll just take time Haven't made any progress on the body work in the last while, as I'm in my final week of my degree, but I should be able to do a lot of work on it in a couple of weeks.
And once I get a full-time job the paint shouldn't be far away

Oh and yeah that spoiler was certainly worth the money/wait, it just makes the car what it is/is going to be

Yeah, I'm kinda kicking myself that I didn't pick up c3rbera's when she was selling it. But I couldn't justify the cash at the time, so ehh.

I've occasionally looked at pics of mine with the front bar painted, and it took a while to realise it was my car :p

Got my guards rolled today, I can actually use my new wheels!

Terrible pics, as they were taken on my phone, outside of work. Plus I still had the stock wheels on

Had the car on a lift today, getting the belt replaced, thought I would show the clearance to the stock suspension with these wheels:

Huh, it's tight, but not as much as I expected. What was the offset again?

It's not tight on the inside, but it is very tight to the strut base, around 5-10mm or so clearance between the tyre and the base, meaning it does tap there every now and then
They're +30 I'm pretty sure.

Finally got around to fixing my Fog lights, tracked the issue down to the switch, so I pulled it apart and cleaned it.
Once it was back together I tested it and saw that it worked, but the button started to heat up and smoke very quickly, so I put together a wiring harness with a relay and a 30A fuse.



Once it was installed it all happily worked. It's great to finally have fog lights back after around a year without them.

Finally painted the front bar, although only with spray cans and just general white paint.
It doesn't match, but it's better than the primer:

It's hardly changed

Realised it wasn't quite perfectly centred, so haven't done any work, and it's been too cold to do any fibreglassing, waiting for it to start warming up, which will be within the next month hopefully

On another note, got a quote the other day for finishing the front bar, stripping - straightening - and repainting the bonnet, repainting both front quarter panels, and working the front wheel wells at around $1,200

Shall be looking at doing that very soon....

So not a lot has happened lately.
Installed some coil-overs a few weeks back, and fixed the inner guards so that it doesn't scrape so badly.
Had some dickhead reversed into me last week while the car was parked around the corver from work, They had tow bar too, so it cracked the front bar quite badly
Did a quick-fix last weekend, but it's still pretty average.
Will need to remove the coil-overs for my warrant in a few weeks, and then will need to look at getting it certified for the suspension.

Also have installed extractors and Y pipe, so will look at getting the remainder of the exhaust done soon.

A reasonably recent photo, have since put the mesh into the front bumper and mounted the numberplate correctly, and have since also been reversed into, so the bumper is back to primer.



really need to get the sideskirts on, and the rear bumper, and fix the front...

sh*t luck with the front bar. especially when you can't do anything about it.

That bar is getting to the point where I'm considering ordering a new one....

Would be a shame with the work you've done to it though. If it comes to it, might be an idea to take it to a shop to get tidied up. Would be cheaper than getting a new one shipped over surely?
