Add in the weight from the extra volume of atf fluid in the autobox+TC vs the manual box. :cheeky:

Weigh the clutch pedal and master cylinder whilst at it
(may only be 1kg, but it's still 1kg difference) I remember the entire manual pedal set up had some weight to it in the wagon.
If your gonna split hairs like that, then I'll need to weigh the torque converter vs a flywheel & clutch. Meh I say, Meh.
yeah, fair point on that too I suppose.

Yup, 8 litres vs 2.2... but how to get exact measurement when a portion of the atf is in the cooling loop with the radiator. I repeat, meh

Manual box - 49kg
Auto Box - 68kg

There ya go, almost 20 kegs difference. Or for you lot, thats 2 x 12" subs + amps

Very interesting Bennoz.
If you had to guesstimate, what would you think the total would be after taking into consideration all other factors (pedals, flywheel, torque converter, clutch, clutch cylinders etc)?

Thanks mate :)

Got all mechanicals done now bar the one lower control arm bracket that went missing lol, just need to do the inside now (pedals, selector & cluster etc)

Regarding other bits, I dunno, I reckon it'd be pretty negligable.

I weighed the pedal set, linkages & slave/master cylinder & together it was all less than 1.5kg. The torque converter vs the clutch flywheel assembly would be almost idential around the 3 - 4kg mark. Then as mentioned above, you got 8 litres of auto trans fluid vs 2.2 litres of manual box oil. At the end of the day, I reckon a 20-25kg difference is about where it'd be.

I think the specs on them though state 40kg difference. Any idea why?

Pulled all the internals out last night, pedals, tip lever & sector cable, plus all the other f**king locking cables to the steering column & pedals :x What a faff.

Will put it all back in (the manual eqivalents) on Thursday. Also bought a nice new gear nob & boot for it too :)
