Okay i want to put these items on my car in very near future... both to make my turbo install safer and more power.
Compression Gasket.... how big should i get? and what price?
Water injection... where can i get it and what should i pay?
Fuel pump... same again? can i get an old evo one or something? $$?

Any help would be tops!

Gasket- They aint too expensive, i know RPW have some.
Water Injection- Overpriced for what it does. Unless you go hardcore racing.
Fuel Pump- Go after-market eg Bosch 500hp, these aren't expensive either.

RPW has em but could not select 6A12 gaskets???
was told water injection is good for engine... not too much either...
and what would fuel pump cost? $500???

The water injection is standard on rexes, it just sprays water....why pay couple hundred dollars for it.

Fuel pumps are under $500. Prob around $300- $400

Where were you going to get your head gasket from?

i've only seen them at RPW.but they didnt have the right listing.do u know of anywhere else that has em?. it may pay to call em tomorow. also i heard water injection is better for engine or something. if it gives my baby a longer life than i'll pay for it (so long as the cost doesn't out weigh the benifits)

As long as you don't trash it consistantly and the intercooler is a decent size and efficient.

Cost deffinately does not outweigh the benifit of it.

I would concentrate on the main parts turbo, computer, air intake, exhaust and def the fuel pump and injectors. the gasket lowers compression, which is good when you turbo the car.

Fuel pump is a def as is the gasket... i plann to upgrade from 2.5 to 3 inch exhaust. my injectors are already 390cc....

I would search around for one from mechanics, they are delicate little things.

Don't think so..............I would do a little more research. :-)

You are thinking of an intercooler water spray.........which was not standard on all WRX's anyways. Little sprinklers spray water onto the intercooler.

Water injection is totally different..........water is injected (like your fuel is)to reduce detonation. A friend of mine used to run it on his rex when he was pushing 21psi.

Cheers

water sprey is *~dreamy~* and your running low boost so toss that crap.

Fuel bump is cheap and will probably be required...you can get them for the lines for about 300 delivered...I assume you can use a similar one..my Bosch 040 cost 300 delivered which is running a mear 300...its would be fine for you.

okay... fuel pump is a definate pretty soon... although i do want to wind the boost up.... eventually safely getting around 10-12 or so... but only after decompressed gaskets and whatever else is needed. at this level would water injection help?

hi mate i know this is an old post but trying to get info
i have a mitsibushi colt 6a12 mivec going awd and just bought a full turbo kit off a smashed fto but it was running standard internals and standard 10:1 compretion at 5psi 214whp but im planning on running higher boost and lowering compression to about 8:1 or 9:1 but dont want to have to change the cam gears.
what size if decompression plate did you get?
i sen them on rpw and it was i use special glue to bond the steel shim to the block then put a standard gasket on top.
cheers gavo

WTTC!

Thicker head gasket with shorter piston is best of my knowledge as far lowering compression.
Sourcing out the correct piston size my require a bit of trial and error.
