Regular Cruise Idea

Post by FtoSam »

Okay guys..... and chels....and sammi..... and Yano...
I've been thinking that we are all lazy bastards that should be out representing the FTOs a lot more. I mean yeah we have these wicked arse cruises around the place that we organise every few months. But what would you think about something more regular.. admittedly not as big though. The inspiration came last night when i went on a cruise with boostCruising just to see how things roll with them. Wasnt too bad but later on a lot of attention started around my car. things i was shocked that some people thought:
- Arent they standard Turbo?
- V6 I thought they were a 1.5L?
- I cant afford a FTO.. arent they like $50k?? (hahahaha)
- Dont some models come AWD?
So after laughing at most of this, i felt deeply ashamed that people who are car enthusiasts (even though they drove skylines) didnt even know much about ftos.
So we need to get out there more and let people know we're around.

So what do you guys reckon:
Weekly (too often i think)
Fortnightly
Monthly

We could:
City Cruise
Mountain Cruise (mount gravatt etc)
Gold Coast Cruise (down the highway and to broadbeach, etc)
Any other ideas.

Im up for every fortnight. I think Adz is so bored he'd be dying to come. Chels might come.. Darrell might come to some.. anyone else keen for a regular? even 3 - 5 would be cool. 5+ would be awesome.

...people who are car enthusiasts (even though they drove skylines)...
ROFL... arrrhhh.. tear lol

anyways, u r right weekly would be too much, i'm more leaning toward monthly, but fortnightly might work as well.

I say we rotate through all the ideas u listed there.

i'm asusming that these will be night cruises and only real purpose is to get the FTOs seen, yeah?

and we can only really do this on weekend nights...

I say on the 1st saturday night of each month we go and do a coast run (if it's easier we'll meet somewhere down the coast for ppl that live that way, saves them from driving all the way up then just to go back again), cruise around then rock up at the carpark (if u r game sam, considering your mods)

then on the 3rd THURSDAY of each month, we do a brisbane run, meet at mt cootha, drive through the city, then end up at mt gravatt.

and we'll have the regulars (sam u have to go to everyone of them cos u r the qld cordinator and all :P), so that's sam, and me once i get my license back, ... screw this i'm making a list lol, regulars and then a few irregulars every cruise, hopefully will get us to 5+

who wants to put there hand up to be a regular:

1. BorepYano (once i get my license back)
2. Samson (as i said u have to come lol)
3.
4.
5.
6.

who would be interested to be the irregulars? (and also state how often u'll be able to come)

1.
2.
3.
4.
.......

Edited: changed the brisbane run to thursday instead of saturday.

Yeah i'd be trying to make every one.
I said thursday because a lot of people just want to go out sat nights and get drunk. I know i do.. Whereas thrusdays i have nothing better to do... What if we alternated... one sat a month we go to broadie and one thurs we do a bris cruise... that would work..
other regulars would be Chels and adz.. And when Lukas moves up here he'll be out everytime i suspect.
Irregulars would be darrel (yet to see) and maybe other cruise regulars like Fulltilt. Jase or Dimi.

I'd be up for only cruises on weekends but I'd be up for one a month. as for night stuff I'd probably be trying to source a place to crash in case of broadwater cruises.
