I have reset his account. Tell him to try & logon with the password of 'password'

If it doesnt work let me know.

aparently hasn't fixed it...

but cant tell if its him or the site...

Switch to a different browser and see if that fixes it? Try IE/Firefox/Opera ... if the same result with all browsers then something funky is happening on his end of things.
