no problems mon.... i have this 'vendetta' against dodgy importers so it's my way of hitting back at 'em, lol...
knowing about FTOs itself is not as important as learning more about how the auction & importing process works... The auction inspection report sheet is usually emailed to them (and then printed off), and you can check the VIN/chassis number on the report against the car to see if there are any inconsistencies. A sharp eye usually helps!
Go to http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au and there is a link that explainsthe import process in great detail. The guy is very friendly to deal with so give him a call if you can't find anything useful on the website.
As I am from Melb, i don't know what Syd dealers are like but it pays to hook up with ppl in your area who owns FTOs as well.
