Autosalon Planning

Ok folks, same as VIC, we need to have a planning thread.

Most of the hardwork is already done as such, with a majority of the stand that came back to Sydney in my boot yesterday.

I will need a hand with a few things thou. I need to get hold of:
New flooring - thinking of types of matting I can get cheap from my old mans work. Some thing a little sturdier than the vinyl we used last time
New brochure / flyer stands - compliments of the old lady I have scored 2 card displays. Will need help getting them & painting them up
New photo board display - I'd like to improve on the bit of card board we had on the floor in VIC. Any suggestions welcome.
Touch up banner display - I'd like to sand & spray the timber & poles in black. Would also like to devise a better way to hang the banner than tape.
Rope - Need new rope for the bollards. I have rope but its all greasy & sh*tty.

Thats about all I can think of for now - this will probably also be best done with beer & bbq at my place on weekends. I'll be starting this weekend on some painting.

Just thought i will add this in..
My mum is a grathic designer and she does buisness cards and flyers for a good price so if use need new ones or somthing let me know on a basic design and i will be able to talk to her on desin improvments and prices

Any help you need Ben, give me a shout (except this weekend) I'm booked in with AS so am all ready to go. Are we going to get some hot chicky babes to wash our cars or something? Like on the UK calander (only hot)?

Are we able to set up a computer and screen or dvd player and screen? I'm thinking of making a short film clip for the club, I've got a mate who designes CG images and he's going to add some graphics and animation for me too, if we can do this. (I put this message in the other AS chat too)

I reckon we can do that....

I've got plenty of laptops & a couple of 21" screens I could 'borrow' from work

Means I'll have to book a power point in my entry form, but thats easy do-able.

You may want to hunt down smorison - see if he still has the Video Clip we created for the club - there might be some good images you could grab from it..... (anyone that went to Mallacoota should remember it - btw - any plans for a future National Meet up? )

Are we going to see you two at Auto Salon at all? Good luck with the sprints too.

If there's a stand - we'll make the effort (will even try and dig up our club shirts!!!!)

Which cars are entering? I assume - Ben/ Kaz/ you (AJ) and ??

What are you guys wearing? We still have some of the launch shirts still around - give us a hoy if interested and we can maybe work something out

it looks like I might be on my own driving up from Melbourne.

so if anyone can offer some sort of accomadation( cannot really afford a hotel room on my own) to the oldest FTO owner in OZ.

I am clean and can dress myself, Ben can vouch for the fact I can dress myself.

Anyone have "I like the way you move" by the Bodyrockers on cd or on mp3. Also, does anyone have the club logo in "paint" or similar format so that my graphics person can copy it easier? Thanks.

Workin on it mate, was happy to offer you a bed at mine, but the misses has other plans (ie a gaggle of chick mates from QLD crashing over) I'll be lucky to sleep in my own bed
