Received a call from Jason at Custom Carbon, here in Brisbane.

Sounded like an absolute top bloke... quite different to Frank at topstage.

Anyway, he said we're more than welcome to come to his shop to check out the quality of his gear, as he is more than confident they are top notch.

Rough pricing is:

Fibreglass frame with CF overlay (same as most CF bonnets and boots) - $600-700

Full 100% Carbon Fibre Bootlid - $1500ish.


He can also make ANYTHING in CF.

I enquired about the interior panels. he said no worries..

Need to organise a bootlid for him (ethix?) and will take him my car to check out the interior panels.

From what i can tell he will be a bit more expensive but will be the best quality gear around.

Can do it in any weave we want. But the 12k weake (i think) is the best (same as my bonnet)

Forgot to ask about colour carbon.

with (FTO's specifically) CF boots and bonnets, are they actually lighter than the standard FTO parts? i'm looking to lighten my car rather than stress out the driveline with more grunt. does anybody know exactly how much the CF parts weigh compared to standard?

Does that mean this guy could make me a carbon fibre blade to fit on my wing of my veilside kit?

i can get you anything you want made in carbon fibre, it just depends how deep your pockets are

i would kill for a nice cf bonnet
