sounds like a very good time to buy....

However, being a novice in cars....i have some questions (sorry if this might not be the right place to ask)..

What do these parts do.. and is it expensive to get them fitted?? do i need to go to a FTO specialist like UAS for the fitting?? (mine is a GPX Tip)

:?: Poly Engine Mounts...

:?: 63mm Throttle Body Kit..

:?: Magnecor Performance Ignition Lead Set...(is it the same thing as the one in the Cam Skill Group Buy??)

:?: RDA Slotted Rotors + Stainless steel braided Brake lines front kit + Brake Master Cylinder Upgrade kit 1" Bore. Would these be better than the UAS brake upgrade?? and are these all i need to upgrade to a good set of brake??

:?: Lightweight Flywheel...(always hear this but never know what it does)

:?: RPW Performance Extractors...(read somewhere here this is one of the easiest and cheapest upgrade other than an induction kit)...could i use this without upgrading the exhaust?? Also what does the ceramic coating do?

sorry to ask so much....but would like to know which of these should i buy in this good buy.....

Thanks very much, guys.

Okay, i will answer as much as i can, but Ben will hopefully be able to shed some more light:

:?: Poly Engine Mounts...
The standard Rubber engine mounts are renowned for cracking. These poly ones are a lot stronger, which means less engine movement, which i think would improve things such as traction (less hopping), engine wear, etc. (can Ben Verify?) Would have to be fitted by licenced mechanic

:?: 63mm Throttle Body Kit..
Great way to improve performance as it increases the intake. I would assume somebody with decent mechanical knowledge could fit these

:?: Magnecor Performance Ignition Lead Set...(is it the same thing as the one in the Cam Skill Group Buy??)
Yeah same thing from the other group buy. I'm getting mine from here purely because its easier to get everything at once. You can fit these yourself if you are comfortable taking off the intake manifold.

:?: RDA Slotted Rotors + Stainless steel braided Brake lines front kit + Brake Master Cylinder Upgrade kit 1" Bore. Would these be better than the UAS brake upgrade?? and are these all i need to upgrade to a good set of brake??
This kit combined with a good set of pads would be great. (ben? help?)

:?: Lightweight Flywheel...(always hear this but never know what it does)
A lightweight Flywheel helps reduce the weight on the crankshaft. Thus increase torque, power and especially pickup. Engine will rev a lot easier without as much weight on the crank. Needs to be fitted by a mechanic unless you are comfortable taking the gearbox out yourself.

:?: RPW Performance Extractors...(read somewhere here this is one of the easiest and cheapest upgrade other than an induction kit)...could i use this without upgrading the exhaust?? Also what does the ceramic coating do?
This is one of the best ways to get more HP out of your FTO and this set of extractors is found on many many ftos... (i know of at least 6-7 that live near me) Can be fitted by almost any exhaust shop i presume.
The ceramic coating im not sure about. Im assuming it keeps down underbonnet temps and makes them look a lot nicer.

a lot of that stuff im attempting to answer i do not know a heap about.. If im wrong somewhere could someone please correct me.

Pretty sure only for a manual...

Short Shift Kit:
http://www.rpw.com.au/shop/index.php?pa ... &Itemid=31

TB:
http://www.rpw.com.au/shop/index.php?pa ... &Itemid=31

Ignore the pricing on the site.. most of it is under the RRP.
Some things may have to be exchange items... i.e. pay $100 more and they send u item. then u get the $100 back when u post them back your original.

So how is the engine mount thing working, one person is selling us their mount and we're getting a lot made up from that one? Even so, I'm still in for the front one, mines gone.

What do these parts do.. and is it expensive to get them fitted?? do i need to go to a FTO specialist like UAS for the fitting?? (mine is a GPX Tip)

:?: Poly Engine Mounts...
stiffer engine mounting, reduces engine movement, better response

:?: 63mm Throttle Body Kit..
better airflow more power? but minimal i would suspect...

:?: Magnecor Performance Ignition Lead Set...(is it the same thing as the one in the Cam Skill Group Buy??)
better ignition, makes sure all the power goes to the plug

:?: RDA Slotted Rotors + Stainless steel braided Brake lines front kit + Brake Master Cylinder Upgrade kit 1" Bore. Would these be better than the UAS brake upgrade?? and are these all i need to upgrade to a good set of brake??
not better than the uas upgrade, as uas one has bigger rotors and bigger calipers, this setup uses stock calipers and stock rotor size

:?: Lightweight Flywheel...(always hear this but never know what it does)
reduces weight from crank, car will rev up to redline easier and have more torque and power, only for manual

:?: RPW Performance Extractors...(read somewhere here this is one of the easiest and cheapest upgrade other than an induction kit)...could i use this without upgrading the exhaust?? Also what does the ceramic coating do?
extracts exhaust form engine for better flow, more power

sorry to ask so much....but would like to know which of these should i buy in this good buy.....

Thanks very much, guys.

The engine mounts in FTOs need to be replaced at somepoint anyway. They are made of rubber and split and crack. Mine need replacing anyway so this costs only a fraction more but yet last so much longer and help the car perform so much better too... worth the $$ IMO if your car is over 130,000kms.

Updates:
Magnecor leads i probably wont get as michael is doing a GB for a fair amount less.

As far as I've read on here, TB's would be best done after you've done all the initial mods - air intake, exhaust, extractors etc... But then you have to start thinking about fuel management.

Think I'll be leaving it at extractors myself. But growing list of things to do before then!
