New FTO

Post by AMACHA »

Hi guys first of al l ineevr new there was a fto club lol anyway i bioguth a fto today well put a deposit anyway on one get it tomorrow and got i vehicle checked at repco in south melbourne. They said tehre was problems with it and it was quite clean however they go the only thing they found was some oil stains on the side of the motor i think and they said it could of jsut been a build up of oil and its nothign to worry anout but what i should do is get a mechanic to rinse it off let it run for a coupel of hours and see if it leaks. Is this something expensive to change/fix?? Also since i am egtting it tomorrow i jsut wanted to know what people do for insurance in melbourne?? Who are the best etc its a 1995 fto mivec and im 18 lol andn o not a hoon either haha. Oh and one more thing what good mechanics are there in klbourne that are reasonable on price and know about fto's or can any mechanic do it?? Oh lmao and one more thing every how man thousand kilometeres should fto's be serviced???

Thankyou and i hope that i can paticipate in some of the melbourne crusies and even possible auto salon next year march is it?

yes I have. I'm a member of S-A-U and some people go there for tuning.

However not sure if they know much about FTOs. However Toni lives out that way and knows some1 she uses all the time. wait for her to post..

Post up some pics when u get her tomorrow...

Been to both a few times, my mate's MR2 turbo had his car done at ProTek and another RX7 series 6 at Maztek.

They aren't cheap and like KJ said, i don't think they know much about FTO.

dude, if i do that i'll end up with a set of rims and no car to put em on!!!!
i'll pass... but thanks for the offer

first upgrade i'd recommend is re-trimming the seats...
great bang for your buck, and if you ask nicely
i'm sure one of the members here would lend a hand installing them.
