Post by Bennoz »

Put any problems you may encounter have here guys - please be orderly about it, I'll get to them one at a time  Hopefully there shouldn't be too many, I've fixed a stack of things during the move.

Apart from the fact that the site is slower than a riced up Civic and that new posts aren't showing as being new (to me any way) things seem to be OK.
LED ALL the things.

Nothing's that slow! :-)

But there does appear to be a speed issue with the new site.

Cheers

Some positive feedback...

I'm having NO problems at all. Speed is Fine, posts are coming up read/unread as per the brochure, and NO POSTING ERRORS.

Great work Bennoz

Good to hear!

Can everyone let me know about how they are going with posts being marked read? Im thinking that now the domain is almost reallocated to this site, the cookies are pointing at this site, that the issue may well go away without help... hopefully :)

um dunno if you know this or not but i'll post it anyway
the "view post since last visit" doesnt work this is what comes up
"No topics or posts met your search criteria"
and if a 'sub-forum' indicates that there are new posts, when you go into that section nothing is marked as new
as i said I don't know if you are aware or not just trying to help

i think thats because it thinks u've logged out and logged in everytime u hit the button.
i had the same problem at 2 this morning lol, but it seems to be fine now though lol

Also note, any threads you had marked as 'watched' prior to the move, will not be watched now. You'll have to reset it

I'm still having the all topics unread every now and again, even if I haven't been on for a while and I know new posts have been made.

Other than that the new site is great :D Good work ben :thumleft:

Dunno what happened this morning. Had to restore half the nuke files

Just running a db backup just in case (hence the speed issue)
