Jeff`s TURBO FTO 4 sale. 306kw. Price drop. $19500 SOLD.

Post by Jeff »

Yes I am selling my baby.
94 Red manual FTO with GT35/45 garrett. 306kw atw. 6A13.
Brisbane.
This car has had over 35k spent on it, but now I must regrettably sell it.
For full car specs see www.uq.net.au/whocares/FTO.html
Suspension, brakes, wheels, clutch, fuel system, radiator, computer, intercooler, etc all upgraded for the turbo. Electronic boost controller means you can drive it in traffic easily on 7psi (200kw) on boost it to 16psi (306kw).
This is a amazing car to drive.
The rims are damaged but overall good condition.
The car has just spent a week at a workshop having a service, and changing a few things to make it legal. The blowoff valve has been changed to a legal one, and a proper cat has been installed.
The car has only done 127,000km. The belts and major service was done at 95k. The aircon was just serviced 6 months a go, although the climate control was sticking, now fixed.
I would love to see this car go to a loving owner, hence advertising here in the FTO forum, but I will also have to put it on car sales.
Overall I have spent over 35k on upgrades, and the car cost me 20k.
Asking price $19500

If anyone is thinking of turboing an FTO, buying this is a lot simpler and easier than going through all the hassels.

Yes, always a problem when you pipe your exhaust gases arround your engine. The aluminum radiator from PWR has helped a lot. It still gets a little warm in stop start traffic or on boost for long periods, but if you turn off the A/C the temps comes back down.

OMG... i'll be sad to see this go...

But hopefully an enthusiast will buy it... and come cruising with us...

Please let it stay in the club...

I will try pushing a few mates towards it as i know its quick...

I can vouch that this is an AWESOME price for the work...

For a BASIC turbo FTO you will spend $14k on turbo + $15k on fto = $29k...

AND have HALF the power of this monster...

Good luck with the sale jeff... shame we didnt see it around more often... hopefully the new owner will bring it out some more and treat it with the respect you gave it...

Hi all,
no serious interests yet. For all those owning an FTO, you know you want a bit of extra power. It is good to see the amount of people doing turbo projects, but after going through mine I would never do it again. So if you are even thinking of a turbo projetc this is a much cheaper, quicker, and less time consuming way.
As stated, before I even thought about the turbo I spent, $1500 on brakes, $3000 on lowering and suspension upgrades,$3000 on tyres and rims, then $35,000 on the transplant, turbo, manuel box, ecu, radiator, exhaust, blow off, battery relocation, cooling, manifolds, electronic boost control, etc, etc.
I want to see this car go to a loving home, where someone will take good care of it, enjoy it on the occaissional track day, and break a 12 sec 1/4 mile time.

Hi all,
I have a lot of semi serious offers, but still no sale. Sam is very interested so get in quick.
As stated previously, if anyone is thinking of turboing an FTO don`t do it. It will cost you heaps and you will not get the power of this.
