something up with sub

Hi im having probs with my sub every time i turn the car on the sub makes a really loud thump, also i went to amp up my rear speakers and they also pop, cant be anything wrong with the speakers cause they are new and they work fine in my bros car, so i have no idea?? help please

This is known as "turn on pop".
Its common in cheaper amps.

When the amp is first turned on there is a surge of power to the sub and/or speakers creating the thump your talking about.

There used to be filters you could buy to prevent this, but I haven't looked into them.

Better brands usually build it in as part of the circuitry.

what brand is the gear? and who did the wiring?

hey ya amb is a audiobahn A800 cost a fair bit and the sub is a 15 fusion powerplant jona series cost a fair bit to so think the gear is alright? i hooked it up

but pretty sure i did everything right.

if it's a pioneer head unit then it sounds like you've blown the internal fuse.

yepp headunit rooted got a new one and is better now also got new subs 2 x 12in eclipse sounds heaps better than fusion one thanks
