Post by speedcrushdemon »

Guys my taillight doesnt seem like working alrite... when i brake, one of the four bulbs is not working. But when i turned on the lights, all four bulbs worked, but when i braked again, only 3 bulbs light up.

Sounds like an easy fix -

Each bulb has two elements in it; one which lights up as the tail lights (ie. on all the time) and one which lights up as the brake light (ie. only lights up when you hit the brake pedal).

Sounds like the 'brake' element is broken on that particular bulb while the 'tail light' element of the same bulb is okay. Solution - replace bulb. Cost - $1. Easy :D

My car had the same problem when i first got it.

Before changing the bulb, give the terminal (the bit the bulb clicks into) a clean with a wire brish.

If that does not work then it will be the bulb.
